Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) started on Thursday trial operations at Ad Duwayhi mine, which is owned by its subsidiary Maaden Gold and Base Metals, the company said in a bourse statement.
The mine will produce 180,000 ounces of gold on average per annum, and is expected to come on stream in Q1-2016.
Financial impact will be measured after the launch of commercial production.
