Maaden Aluminum to set up new unit; plans to boost GCC’s share of global production to 15%

Ma'aden Aluminium Co., a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) and ALCOA, plans to set up an integrated production unit that will extract raw materials in order to introduce new end-products.

 

The project aims to boost the GCC’s share of aluminum production in the global market to 15 percent, state-owned news agency reported, citing president, Abdulaziz bin Askar on the sidelines of the Arab International Aluminum Conference and Exhibition (ARABAL) 2015.
