Riyadh Metro project is 35% complete

Work on the Riyadh Metro project is 35 percent complete, Mohammed Al Showaiman, spokesman for the Municipal Council of Riyadh, told Al-Hayat newspaper, citing data from Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA).

 

The train network will initially consist of 190 units with the number of trains increasing to 338 in future, Al Showaiman added.

 

When complete, the metro will span 176 kilometers and include 85 stations. The project is scheduled for completion in 2018.
