Amana Insurance files grievance against suspension
Amana Cooperative Insurance Co. filed an official complaint on June 26 to the Saudi Board of Grievances against a recent decision by the kingdom’s Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) suspending the company from issuing medical insurance policies.
On June 2, Saudi Arabia’s health minister had also approved a decision to prevent the company from issuing new policies.
The move came after the insurer issued fake health insurance policies, according to a statement from the CCHI.
Earlier this month, Amana said it expected the suspension to weigh on its sales over the period.
