Income increase won’t impact housing subsidy beneficiaries, says official

The housing subsidy provided to Saudi citizens is not affected by income increase after signing the contracts, Al-Eqtisadia newspaper reported, citing Saif Al-Swailem, spokesman of the housing ministry.

The subsidy provided for beneficiaries with income lower than SAR 14,000 is set and unchangeable even if their income increase above that amount, he said.

Beneficiaries can get two types of housing subsidies for ready-made units or off-plan ones: a reduced price of the unit or subsidized mortgage loans.
