The project includes reclaiming and cultivating 25,200 hectares of agriculture land in northern Kurdufan province (Sudan) for securing alternative sources of fodder and other staples.
In the first phase, the company seeks to reclaim 3200 hectares of land and erect 50 center-pivot irrigation systems, to grow 4,000 palm trees, fodder and wheat crops. Total investment amounts to SAR 81.8 mln.
The second phase comprises the installation of 100 center pivot irrigation systems to grow corn, potatoes, fodder and wheat crops.
Afterwards, the company will build supplementary dairy production and processing and animal breeding units as well as transformational projects.
The first phase was inaugurated in January 2017.
