×Saudi cement sales jump 15% to 4.9 mln tons in October 2020
The aggregate sales of 17 Saudi cement producers rose by 15% to 4.9 million tons in October 2020, compared to 4.3 million tons in the same month last year, according to recent data issued by Yamama Cement Company.

As many as 14 cement producers reported higher sales, led by Al-Jouf Co. with a 58% surge year-on-year (YoY) in October.
Qassim Cement came second with a 54% increase YoY. On the other hand, Northern Region Cement Co. and Riyad Cement posted the steepest decline in sales by 29% and 10% YoY, respectively.
Umm Al-Qura Cement’s sales edged down 1% YoY in the same month.

Eight companies exported 225,000 tons of cement in October. Saudi Cement Co. came on top with 97,000 tons of exports. It was followed by Yanbu Cement Co. with 33,000 tons, and Najran Cement Co. (32,000 tons).

Four companies exported clinker in October, led by Saudi Cement with nearly 274,000 tons. It was followed by Arabian Cement and Al Safwa Cement with 91,000 tons, and 60,000 tons, respectively.
