TASI falls 0.5% to 12,526 points, turnover at SAR 5.8 bln
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.5%, or 66 points, lower at 12,526 points today, Aug. 21.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 5.8 billion.
The index fell in line with global markets, led by the US following the US Federal Reserve likely to keep interest rates high enough to slow the economy “for some time”.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank declined to SAR 38.75 (-2%) and SAR 90.70 (-1%), respectively.
Saudi National Bank, SABB, Bank AlJazira, Sipchem, Saudi Kayan, Petro Rabigh, Saudi Electricity and Almarai fell between 1% and 2%.
Alhokair Group and Emaar EC edged down 2% after announcing Q2 2022 losses.
