TASI falls 2.2% to 11,572 points, turnover at SAR 5 bln
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 2.2%, or 257 points, lower at 11,572 points today, Sept. 18.
Total turnover reached just over SAR 5 billion.
The index’s movement is in line with global markets, which tumbled on Friday over monetary policy tightening worries.
Market Index
Most of the stocks declined, as Al Rajhi Bank, Saudi National Bank and SABIC fell between 2% and 3%.
Saudi Aramco closed at SAR 36.25 (-1%).
Tadawul Group, solutions, ACWA Power, Alujain, Petro Rabigh, Advanced and Leejam lost between 4% and 7%.

Meanwhile, Dar Al Arkan rose 3% to SAR 14.98 amid trading of almost 21 million shares.
Walaa Insurance and SABB Takaful climbed to SAR 15.26 (+10%) and SAR 13.98 (+1%), respectively. Shareholders of the two companies approved the proposed merger at their extraordinary general meetings.
