TASI falls 1.7% to 12,044 pts, total turnover at SAR 8.1B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.7%, or 209 points, lower at 12,044 points today, Oct. 2. Total turnover reached nearly SAR 8.1 billion.
The decline follows the military escalation in the Middle East, which has caused fluctuations in the financial markets.
Market Index
Most stocks declined today, with heavyweight lenders Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi National Bank (SNB) dropping to SAR 84.90 (-3%) and SAR 33.80 (-2%), respectively.
Shares of MBC, SACO, Saudi Ceramics, Amana Insurance, Herfy Foods, Riyadh Cement, TALCO, Maadaniyah, and Jamjoom Pharma ended the trading today with declines ranging between 3% and 6%.
Luberef and Kingdom Holding closed at SAR 126.80 (-4%) and SAR 9.77 (-2%), respectively, as the stocks traded ex-dividend today.

Meanwhile, Retal’s shares rose by 1% to SAR 15.46. The company announced the signing of agreements with ROSHN to develop residential units in Riyadh.
Al-Baha topped today’s gainers, increasing by 8% to SAR 0.26, amid active trading on the stock amounting to nearly 560 million shares.
