Methanex hikes February 2021 methanol prices to Asia by $430/ton

Methanex Corp., the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol, increased its Asian contract price (ACP) for February 2021 by $25 to $430 per ton, the highest level in more than two years.

 

Monthly prices issued by Methanex are considered as an indicative price for other producers, as well as for the spot market.

The company gives an average of 15% discount to buyers compared to contract prices.

 

The spot price in China, the world’s biggest importer of methanol, reached $310 per ton, accordingt o data compiled by Argaam.
