Overview :
The bank was established as a Saudi joint-stock company and commenced operations in 1977, following the acquisition of the Saudi operations of Banque de I’Indochine et de Suez. This transaction was part of the wider government initiative at the time to Saudi-ize foreign banks, converting their local branches into Saudi joint-stock entities.
