Saudi Arabia records 593 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 593 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 17 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 328,144, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 1,203, raising the total number of recovered cases to 307,207 (94% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 30 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 4,399.

 

Active cases totaled 16,538, of which 1,180 cases are critical.

 

Jeddah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 55, followed by Makkah (50), Madinah (40), Riyadh (39) and Hufuf with 38.

 

The Kingdom conducted 49,035 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 5.92 million.
