Saudi Arabia backs innovation in financial sector: SAMA Governor

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) supports innovation in the financial sector, provided that the conventional financial system should be separated from the cryptocurrency division, SAMA Governor Ayman Alsayari stated.

 

There is a complete agreement that the digital technology inclusion and funding the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) still represent vital steps towards bolstering financial inclusion, Alsayari said on the sidelines of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting.

 

He stressed the significance of consolidating efforts to fulfill the G20 goals to enhance economic growth and financial stability.
