Lulu Group eyes 100 new hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia: Chairman

Yusuff Ali, Founder and Chairman of Lulu Group Global, said the company currently runs 60 branches and plans to open 100 new hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia.

 

In an interview with Asharq News, he explained that the group plans to hire 10,000 Saudi citizens, noting that it currently employs 3,600 Saudi nationals and provides training not only in hypermarkets but also in the information technology (IT) sector.

 

He added that the group is currently located in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and will open a logistics center covering an area of 100,000 square meters.

 

According to the top executive, Saudi Arabia has witnessed numerous reforms and transformations during this period, including ease of doing business, investment policies, the removal of visa restrictions, and many other changes aimed at attracting investors to the Kingdom. 

 

He pointed out that Saudi Arabia has started manufacturing many products locally, providing an opportunity for investors to invest in domestic products. He also mentioned that the group is highly focused on promoting local products.
