Umm Al-Qura Cement appoints Muhammad Al-Hawi as Acting CEO

Umm Al-Qura Cement Co.’s (UACC) board of directors decided on Oct. 31 to appoint Muhammad Fadl Kamel Al-Hawi as Acting CEO as of Nov. 1, 2023, until the appointment of a new CEO.

 

The company explained in a statement on Tadawul that it will announce any developments in this regard in due course.

 

Al-Hawi holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering sciences from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in 1989. He has extensive experience of more than 30 years in the cement industry, including his role as director of the Umm Al-Qura Cement factory.

 

In August, Umm Al-Qura Cement accepted the resignation of CEO Majid Tariq Salah Gharbawi, due to his personal reasons, effective Oct. 19, Argaam reported earlier.
