The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) aims to have three global companies enter the Saudi aviation market to operate in private lounges by 2030, as outlined in the public aviation roadmap issued at the Future Aviation Conference (FAF) 2024, said Imtiyaz Manzary, Director General (General Aviation) at GACA.
Manzary clarified that the roadmap eliminates the necessity for foreign companies to have a local partner to enter the Saudi aviation market, specifically in the domains of lounge operation services and aircraft maintenance centers, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.
Additionally, the director general highlighted targets aimed at enhancing infrastructure liquidity, establishing six new airports, and adding nine new lounges to existing airports.
