Saudi Ground Services awarded SAR 1.5B service contract by Riyadh Air

Saudi Ground Services Co. (SGS) was awarded a contract by Aviation Services Co. (Riyadh Air) to provide ground handling services, effective as of Sept. 1 and running for 4.5 years (55 months), with an option to extend for an additional two years after the initial term.

Under this contract, SGS will provide ground handling services for all Riyadh Air flights. This includes ramp services and passenger terminal services for both domestic and international flights at King Khalid International Airport – Riyadh, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

SGS added that the contract value is about SAR 1.5 billion for the entire 6.5-year period as of the start of operations for Riyadh Air.

There are no related parties to the contract, which comes as part of the normal course of doing business and entails no preferential terms, it noted.
