Shams appoints Abdullah Al Suwailem as CEO

Tourism Enterprise Co.'s (Shams) board of directors appointed Abdullah Al Suwailem as CEO, effective today, Aug. 13, in addition to remaining Vice Chairman and Managing Director.

 

Al Suwailem holds a master's degree in Administrative Engineering from Bridgeport University in the US, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

He has over 20 years of executive management and financial experience, having chaired the audit committee for two terms.

 

The management accepted former CEO Muhannad Al Onaizan’s request, on April 24, not to renew his contract due to personal reasons, Argaam reported earlier. His duties were assigned to Al Suwailem.
