The Dow Jones Industrial Average slightly changed to 44,877 points as of 5:37 pm Makkah time. The S&P 500 slipped 0.3%, or 15 points, to 6,052, with Nasdaq also down 0.45%, or 86 points, to 19,646.
Nvidia dropped 2.5% to $125.88 after OpenAI reported evidence that US artificial intelligence (AI) models were used to train competing open-source models by DeepSeek.
The Fed is expected to keep rates between the 4.25-4.5% range during today’s policy meeting, with markets focused on Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s post-meeting comments for policy signals.
Meta, Tesla, and Microsoft are slated to report their earnings after today’s trading close, with investors eyeing AI-related financials for these corporates in specific.
