Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, extended the application deadline for the second round of the Exploration Enablement Program (EEP) to May 1.

The evaluation phase will run from May 1 to May 31, while approvals and the announcement of winners will take place between June 1 and July 31, the ministry said in a statement.

Eligibility criteria put focus on the exploration of Class A-classified critical minerals such as copper, lithium, and nickel, as well as under-explored (greenfield) areas, under a predetermined budget.

Applicants must hold a valid exploration license, a track record of technical expertise and expertise in exploration projects. They should also help promote local content and develop national cadres during the program period.
