Basic Chemical Industries Co. (BCI) extended the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Italmatch Chemicals until Dec. 31, 2025.

 

In a statement to Tadawul today, the company indicated that the Italmatch project timeline was prolonged due to the expanded scope of work and the need to additional technical work to modify some production processes. This complies with regulatory requirements to obtain the required approvals and to meet local market needs.

According to data available with Argaam, the company signed on May 22, 2023, a MoU with Italmatch Chemicals to provide chlorine, caustic soda, and hydrochloric acid to Italmatch factories in the PlasChem Complex in Jubail Industrial City.
