Equipment House CEO & MD resigns, Faisal Al Atawi takes reins

Scientific and Medical Equipment House Co.’s (Equipment House) board of directors accepted, on June 30, the resignation of the managing director and CEO Barakat Al-Arifi submitted upon his request due to personal circumstances, according to a Tadawul statement.

He will, however, continue as a non-executive member of the company’s board of directors.

The board also appointed Faisal Al Atawi as the new managing director and CEO, effective July 1, 2025.

A resolution will be presented to confirm Al Atawi’s appointment at the next general assembly meeting for ratification.

The step comes in recognition of his leadership experience, professional competence and full knowledge of the company’s operations.

Al Atawi has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector within the Kingdom. He has held several key positions, most recently serving as Deputy CEO at Equipment House.

He holds a Ph.D. in Health Services Management, a master’s degree in administration, as well as a master’s degree in health services management from Majmaah University in Saudi Arabia.
