Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and private sectors rose 16% to SAR 3.27 trillion by the end of May 2025, compared to SAR 2.81 trillion in the same month a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Bank loans to the private sector increased by 15% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 3.04 trillion for the same month, the central bank said.
Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 37% YoY to about SAR 223.6 billion as of May 2025.
