Bank of America (BofA) expects the US inflation to accelerate in the coming months, driven by higher prices resulting from tariffs, along with other financial market-related factors, CNBC reported, citing a research note by Stephen Juneau, an economist at BofA.
Juneau expects inflation to accelerate in the coming period, primarily due to price hikes related to tariffs.
The recent recovery in stock prices may also contribute to inflation increase, through higher fees charged by portfolio management firms, he said.
He explained that this could in turn affect consumer prices in the coming months.
