Hani Jalouli, CFO of Jahez International Company for Information System Technology said that the market is witnessing competition and tactical moves through continuous marketing campaigns, which vary between increasing the pressure on delivery fees in certain periods, and easing it in other periods, which reflects on the pace of growth in revenue for the delivery sector.

There were no one-off factors that impacted net profit, except for delivery fees, which were under higher pressure than expected, in addition to marketing investments to maintain the company’s market share, he added.

In an interview with Al Arabiya Business, Jalouli indicated that commission revenues soared due to a 13% increase in merchandise value and an increase in the average order value to SAR 63, which positively impacted the sector's performance.

The CFO further stated that this was offset by a decline in delivery fee revenues due to lower delivery prices amid market competition and offers, aimed at boosting customer loyalty and speeding up service across the Kingdom. He added that the number of orders increased by 12%, while pricing was lower due to subscription offers.
