Loans granted by Saudi banks to non-financial government institutions and private sector rose 15% to SAR 3.32 trillion by the end of July 2025, compared to roughly SAR 2.88 trillion in the same month a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Bank loans to the private sector increased by 14% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 3.09 trillion for the same month, data showed.
Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial government institutions jumped 36% YoY to about SAR 228.88 billion by the end of July.
