Southern Cement appoints Saud Al-Bargan as Acting CEO

Southern Province Cement Co.’s (Southern Cement) board of directors appointed, on Sept. 30, Saud Al-Bargan as Acting CEO, effective Oct. 1, 2025, until further notice, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Al-Bargan has over 25 years of experience, with 15 years in the cement and building materials sector. He joined Southern Cement in early 2011 and has held several leadership positions, such as Director of Marketing and Sales, Director of Planning and Business Development, Director of Engineering Services, Director of Supply Chain Management and Executive Vice President of Operations, as well as Operations and Secretary of the Board of Directors, the statement added.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, in addition to several administrative and technical certificates in the fields of leadership, strategy, and operational performance.

According to data available with Argaam, Southern Cement’s board approved the request of CEO Aqeel Kadasah to terminate his contract by mutual consent, effective Aug. 30, on personal reasons.
