Industry Ministry launches ‘Netaj’ initiative to empower nonprofit organizations

The “Nataj” initiative aims to empower nonprofit organizations in the industry and mining sectors

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the launch of the “Netaj” initiative, which aims to empower nonprofit organizations in the industry and mining sectors, thus contributing to the promotion of sustainable industrial development and the achievement of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The initiative seeks to support these organizations by promoting specialized services, providing sustainable solutions, and enhancing integration among related entities. It also focuses on building strategic partnerships that further strengthen the social and economic impact of industrial and mining projects, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, it will offer a package of services and enablers, including qualifying industrial and professional associations to solidify their institutional efficiency; enabling associations to provide specialized services such as training, research, and industrial consultancy; facilitating access to financing and partnerships with the public and private sectors; and launching joint programs and projects that contribute to localizing industry and transferring knowledge.

Netaj will also work on promoting transparency and governance within nonprofit organizations to ensure the sustainability of their activities and improve their operational efficiency.

The ministry expects the initiative to help increase the number of professional associations specialized in industry and mining, raise the nonprofit sector’s contribution to GDP, and stimulate technological and industrial innovation.
