Mouwasat Medical Services Co.'s Managing Director Khaled Suleiman Al-Sulaim said that the company is implementing a horizontal expansion plan—which was previously announced—to reach new regions, following the opening of several facilities in Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu, and Abha, in addition to expanding in Al-Ahsa.
In an interview with Argaam on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, the CEO explained that the company is currently expanding two existing hospitals in Riyadh and Qatif, which will add more than 500 beds to their current capacity.
He also said that Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector is undergoing a qualitative transformation in adopting advanced technologies and digital solutions, requiring healthcare providers to keep pace with these developments. He also highlighted the Ministry of Health’s pivotal role in supporting this direction and encouraging growth in service delivery.
Commenting on the company’s financial results for the third quarter of this year, Al-Sulaim said the results will be announced in accordance with the regulations and standards of the Capital Market Authority. “The company’s overall performance is strong and shows satisfactory growth for shareholders,” he stated.
Mouwasat’s board of directors approved recently the project of establishing the company's new hospital in AlAhsa, as well as the expansion of its hospital in Qatif and hospital in Riyadh, at a total value of SAR 1.38 billion. It also nodded to the project of establishing Mouwasat Hospital in Abha with a capacity of 180 beds and total cost of SAR 700 million.
