HUMAIN, a PIF company, signed a partnership agreement with data center platform AirTrunk, which is backed by private equity giant Blackstone Inc, to build data centers in Saudi Arabia, with initial investment of approx. $3 billion (SAR 11.25 billion).

According to Asharq TV, AirTrunk and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board will collaborate with HUMAIN to develop a long-term partnership focused on financing, developing and operating data centers and AI infrastructure across the Kingdom.

HUMAIN’s CEO Tareq Amin said his goal is for Saudi Arabia to be the third-largest AI infrastructure provider, behind the US and China.

The partnership marks “a pivotal moment in creating scalable, secure and sustainable data center capacity to support the rapid growth of AI and cloud computing,” he added.
