The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources today announced allocating three mining complexes for bidding in the provinces of Riyadh and Makkah.
In a statement, the ministry stated that the Riyadh Province includes a sand ore complex south of Al-Dilam in Al-Dilam Governorate, with an area of 2.48 square kilometers, and a sand ore and backfill materials complex south of Al-Hair in Riyadh city, with an area of 15.23 sqm.
Meanwhile, the Makkah Province includes a sand ore and backfill materials complex in Al-Jubayhah, in Khulais Governorate, with an area of 45.57 sqm, it added.
According to the ministry, the application period will run from Nov. 23 to Dec. 11, 2025, through the digital “Taadeen” platform. The bidding process will include several stages: registration, bidder qualification, auction launch, and the announcement of auction results and winning companies.
The ministry noted that allocating mining complexes aims to encourage investment in the mining sector, strengthen governance standards, protect mining sites from unauthorized encroachments, and support development in areas surrounding mining activities.
