Obeikan Glass gets Energy Ministry's nod to supply second float glass line with power

Obeikan Glass said that Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy approved the allocation of the necessary gas and power supplies to support the operation of its second float glass production line in Yanbu Industrial City, with a daily capacity of 650 tons.

 

The company will continue to complete the remaining regulatory and technical requirements and will announce any further developments in due course, according to a statement on Tadawul

 

According to Argaam’s data, the company’s board of directors approved, in October 2024, the establishment of a second float glass production line at its current factory located in the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), at a cost of approximately SAR 520 million.

 

It said then that the new line will focus on producing various types of float and colored glass for the automotive industry, construction projects, and mirrors.
