NomuC closes 2025 down 26%, 85 stocks retreat

The Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) ended 2025 with a decline of 26%, or 8,180 points, closing at 23,296 points compared to 31,476 points in 2024.
In 2025, Nomu witnessed the transition of five companies to the main market (TASI), following the fulfillment of all regulatory requirements. These companies are Canadian Medical Center Co. (CMCER), Gas Arabian Services Co. (GAS), Saudi AZM for Communications and Information Technology Co., Obeikan Glass Co. and Raoom Trading Co.
Last year witnessed the listing of 25 companies in Nomu, with 24 public offerings (IPOs) to qualified investors and one direct listing.
In 2025, the Capital Market Authority (CMA) approved opening Nomu to bachelor’s degree holders in a number of securities-related disciplines, allowing them to qualify as eligible investors in Nomu.
The authority's amendments also included easing the standards and requirements that must be met to be recognized as a qualified investor eligible to access Nomu.

Nomu performance in 2025:
Nomu hit its intra-year high in 2025 during March 3rd’s session, reaching 31,817 points, while the highest closing level was registered on Feb. 16 at 31,737 points.
The index recorded its lowest level during the Dec. 30th session at 23,041 points, which also saw the lowest closing level.
The largest daily gain amounted to 586 points on May 13, while the largest daily decline was 1,993 points on April 6.
The highest daily trading value in 2025 was recorded on Feb. 10 at approximately SAR 77 million, while the lowest trading value was posted on Dec. 15 at SAR 10.5 million.

Future Care Trading Co. was the biggest loser in 2025 at 81%, followed by Dar Almarkabah for Renting Cars Co. at 71%.

Arabian Plastic Industrial Co. (APICO) was the top performer, rising by 86%, followed by Al-Jouf Mineral Water Bottling Co. with a gain of 52%, and Almuneef Co. for Trade, Industry, Agriculture and Contracting with an increase of 30%.
