Sadara Basic Services Co. temporarily halted production at the industrial complex of its parent company, Sadara Chemical Co. (Sadara), according to a Tadawul statement.

The shutdown arises from several factors, including ongoing disruption to Sadara's supply chains.

The shutdown was successfully completed in accordance with Sadara’s high safety standards and in a manner that safeguards operations and reduces risk.

Sadara cannot currently determine the time of resuming production, as this is contingent on domestic and international factors.

The shutdown is expected to impact 2026 financials, the company noted.

Sadara Chemical was established in October 2011 as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Co., with a total investment exceeding SAR 75 billion, according to Argaam data.

In 2017, Sadara began full commercial operations of its chemical complex in Jubail Industrial City, which consists of 26 plants with an annual production capacity exceeding 3 million metric tons of value-added chemical and plastic products.
