RCJY explores investment opportunities worth SAR 500B

Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) Chairman Khalid Al-Salem revealed that the commission is currently holding discussions with investors from various sectors regarding investment opportunities estimated at around SAR 500 billion.

He told Bloomberg Asharq that the commission aims to reach investments worth SAR 2 trillion over the next five years, a target that had originally been set for 2045, while current investments have already exceeded SAR 1.5 trillion.

Al-Salem pointed out that investment growth reached 4% during 2025 compared to a target of 3%, with RCJY expecting growth to continue during the current year.

“What the Saudi government is doing during the current crisis to support market stability, whether in oil markets or even other products such as fertilizers and petrochemicals, will have a major impact in attracting high-quality investments to the Red Sea coast, especially in Yanbu and Jazan,” he stated.

The presence of advanced infrastructure, in addition to joint investments with the Ministry of Energy in clean energy projects, are among the main factors attracting investments, Al-Salem said, noting that the commission provides financial incentives and operating costs considered among the lowest in the region to support investment attraction.

Additionally, the mining sector currently represents one of the key targeted sectors, in light of the transformations taking place in the sector in Saudi Arabia. The commission is working to attract major mining investments to its industrial cities, the Chairman said.

Al-Salem added that the commission is currently focusing on new sectors that were not previously among its priorities, including logistics and manufacturing, based on the core industries existing in the commission’s cities.
