Amwaj International filed five lawsuits to recover SAR 67.9 million in receivables and financial dues

Amwaj International Co. filed five lawsuits before the competent commercial courts, as part of completing the review of receivables at one of its branches and taking legal and judicial measures to safeguard the company’s rights.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the lawsuits seek the collection of receivables and financial dues arising from commercial transactions. These include balances related to the branch in question, in addition to other commercial balances owed to the company.

The total claims under the lawsuits amount to SAR 67.9 million, spread across five claims, the company said, noting that the lawsuits are still pending before the commercial courts.

It stressed that the claimed amounts do not represent additional costs or recognized revenue, but are part of the judicial proceedings to recover the company’s rights.

The company added that the final financial impact of the lawsuits cannot currently be determined, as no final, legally binding judgments have been issued.

It said any financial impact will be recognized once the accounting recognition requirements are met and will be disclosed accordingly.

Amwaj International confirmed that the lawsuits are part of the legal and judicial measures it is taking to safeguard its rights and recover its financial dues.

The company said it will continue to follow up on the lawsuits and related proceedings and will disclose any subsequent material developments.

In January, Amwaj International announced financial irregularities at one of its branches, confirming the completion of the physical inventory count, as well as the completion of the technical assessment conducted by the independent external auditor, Argaam reported.

The inventory count revealed discrepancies totaling SAR 28.66 million.

Earlier, in December 2025, Amwaj International had announced that it had identified preliminary indications of financial and procedural irregularities at one of its branches.

The inventory committees noted discrepancies between the physical inventory count and inventory balances, and reports were submitted to the Audit Committee.
