Saudi Cement to add new SAR 2.2 production lines to boost capacity
Saudi Cement Co will spend SAR 2.2 billion to add two production lines with a capacity of 20,000 tons of clinker a day which will increase its total production by 160 percent and it will also expand the company’s factory in Hofuf, CEO Waleed al-Jafali said during the signing ceremony in Khobar, east of Saudi Arabia.
The company currently produces 13,825 tons of clinker a day, or 4.2 million tons a year. In 2004, it produced 4.4 million tons. The company has 9 cement mills with a total capacity of 908 tons of cement an hour, or 6 million tons a year
