Saudi petrochemicals giant (SABIC) has yet to choose a winning contractor to build a new acrylonitrile plant, MEED has reported.
The three companies competing for the deal include Daelim Industrial, Samsung Engineering, and Tecnicas Reunidas, while all bids were submitted last November.
The project has an estimated budget between $500 million to $1 billion and involves the construction of a 200,000 tonne-a-year (t/y) acrylonitrile plant alongside a 40,000 t/y sodium cyanide facility, and utilities and offsites.
