Bahri’s NCC to buy carriers at SAR 213.8 mln

National Chemical Carriers Ltd (NCC) signed last Thursday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bergen Norway, Berganger KS, Bergen Norway, and Brimanger KS to buy two IMO 2 carriers, totaling SAR 213.8 million ($28.5 million/each).

 

Financial impact of the deal will be recorded in third quarter, Bahri said today in a bourse statement.

 

The MoU with Bergen Norway, Berganger KS is effective till August 1; while the MoU with Bergen Norway and Brimanger KS is valid until September 1.
 

NCC, which currently has 24 carriers, is 80 percent-owned by the National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia (Bahri).
