Dubai-based Aster DM Healthcare Group has bought an additional 57 percent stake in Saudi Arabia’s Sanad Hospital, bringing its total stake up to 97 percent.
The deal is valued at SAR 919 million and makes it Aster’s sixth hospital in the Gulf Co-operation Council region, the group said on Sunday.
Sanad Hospital has 250 beds and has more than 100 doctors and 800 employees on its rolls, of which 30 percent are Saudi nationals.
Aster is planning to add 100 extra beds to the hospital by adding two extension buildings and improving the existing one.
