Saudi cabinet approves privatization of sport clubs

The Saudi cabinet, headed by King Salman, approved on Monday a recommendation by the Commission of Economic and Development Affairs to privatize the kingdom’s sport clubs.

 

The clubs will be turned into companies and will be licensed by the government’s sports authority.

 

The process will be supervised by representatives from the ministries of finance, commerce, economy and planning, and the professional football league.
