Saudi Arabia currently has a sufficient number of airlines operating, and there is no need for new market entrants over the coming period, Alekhbariya TV reported, citing Abdulhakim bin Muhammad Al Tamimi, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
“We have five market players; they are enough,” he said.
Meanwhile, Al Tamimi called on foreign aviation academies, private jet operators, and companies specialized in medical air transport to enter the Saudi market, noting that the Kingdom is open to businesses in these sectors.
