US drillers keep oil rigs unchanged for week ending Aug. 17

U.S. energy companies kept oil rigs unchanged at 869 for the week ending Aug. 17, as crude prices continued to decline, hitting a near two-month low earlier this week. 

 

The number of gas rigs also stayed at 186 gas rigs for the week, compared to 182 gas rigs a year earlier, Baker Hughes said in its closely followed report on Friday.
