Saudi Arabia's cabinet urged the international community on Tuesday to take firm measures to ensure the safety of navigation in waterways across the region, state-owned SPA reported.
The appeal comes after two tankers were attacked in the Gulf of Oman last week.
Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih On Monday said that countries need to cooperate on keeping shipping lanes open for oil and other energy supplies after last week's tanker attacks in the Middle East to ensure stable supplies.
Separately, the cabinet condemned Houthi-backed “terrorist and hostile” acts, including the drone attacks on Abha International Airport.
