TASI rises 0.5% to near 8,100, turnover hits 9-month high at SAR 14 bln
Saudi Arabia’s stocks rose for second consecutive session, with the benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) gaining 0.5%, or 39 points, to close at 8,090 points on Tuesday, the highest close in more than 7 months.
Total trading reached SAR 14 billion, the highest in 9 months, as advance-decline ratio stood at 100:86.
Market Index
Banking major Al Rajhi edged up 0.2% to SAR 66.20, while oil giant Saudi Aramco rose 0.6% to close at SAR 35.95.
Raydan surged 2.8% to SAR 25.85, after the firm’s board of directors recommended a capital hike through SAR 112.5 million rights issue.
STC rose over 1% to SAR 98.30 after news report said the telco was in talks to reduce its non-binding $2.39 billion offer for a stake in Vodafone Egypt.
Al Kathiri went nearly limit up to close at SAR 165.60.
