TASI drops 3%; closes at six-month low
Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) lost 3.1 percent, or 249 points, to close at 7,719 points, its lowest close in six months.
The market index fell by 366 points in the last hour of the trading session, touching its lowest level at 7,602 points before gaining ground before closing. The decline was the biggest day in terms of points in nearly 20 months.
Total turnover stood at SAR 3.9 billion with advance-decline ratio at 6-177.
Market Index
SABIC fell 4.4 percent to SAR 120.60. Saudi Kayan, SARCO and Petro Rabigh slipped between 2 and 5 percent.
Among the banking stocks, Al Rajhi was down 3 percent to SAR 84.20. Alinma Bank lost 2.6 percent while National Commercial Bank sank 2.5 percent.
Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance, Walaa Cooperative Insurance, Malath Insurance and Amana Insurance slipped between 7 and 9 percent.

SAFCO rose marginally by 0.8 percent to close at SAR 72.70.
