TASI falls 0.7% to below 10,000 points, turnover at SAR 7.7 bln
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.7%, or 72 points, lower at 9,977 points today, March 16.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 7.7 billion.
Global index provider FTSE Russell implemented today the changes announced as part of its semi-annual index review on March 2, 2023.
Market Index
Aramco declined 2% to SAR 30.95 as transactions exceeded nine million shares.
Saudi National Bank closed at SAR 41.50 (-3%), recording the lowest closing since November 2020.
Etihad Etisalat, BinDawood, Luberef, Alsaif Gallery, Al Khorayef, solutions, and Sipchem fell between 3% and 4%.
Herfy dropped 7% to SAR 32 after announcing a loss in Q4 2022.

On the other hand, Jarir rose by more than 1% to SAR 149.80. The company’s board recommended a stock split from SAR 10 to SAR 1.
Astra Industrial increased 6% to SAR 59. The company’s Q4 2022 profit rose to SAR 85.7 million.
SABB, Banque Saudi Fransi, Riyad Bank, SABIC Agri-Nutrients, and Bahri gained between 1% and 4%.
