TASI falls 1.6% to below 10,600, turnover at SAR 3.8 bln
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.6%, or 169 points, higher at 10,596 points today, Oct. 8, recording the lowest close since March 2023.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 3.8 billion.
The index declined for the seventh consecutive session, falling nearly 500 points.
Market Index
Most stocks declined, led by Al Rajhi Bank falling more than 2% at SAR 65.10.
Saudi National Bank, ACWA Power, Banque Saudi Fransi, Bank Albilad, Almarai, Bupa Arabia, Bank Albilad, Alinma Bank, and stc slipped between 2% and 6%.
Retal closed at SAR 8.16 (-3%), recording the lowest close since listing, following the end of eligibility for cash dividends.
NADEC fell by more than 7% to close at SAR 43.10 amid trading of about 300,000 shares.

On the other hand, Saudi Re was the top gainer, rising over 6% after the company signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the Public Investment Fund (PIF), under which the fund will subscribe to new cash shares in the former by way of capital increase.
