Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 1.2%, or 140 points, to close at a 16-month high of 12,285 points today, Jan. 7. Total turnover reached nearly SAR 9.4 billion.
Since October 2023, the Saudi benchmark has raised its gains to nearly 2,000 points, or 19.3%.
Market Index
Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi Aramco added 1% each to SAR 88.80 and SAR 33.25, respectively.
Alinma Bank closed 5% up at SAR 41.80, after around 12.4 million shares were traded at a total value of over SAR 500 million.
SRMG, Saudi Re, Arab Sea, Electrical Industries, Alhokair Group and Saudi Paper jumped between 6% and 10%.
AMAK added 1% to SAR 55, driven by the company’s announcement on a cash dividend of SAR 0.65 per share for H2 2023.
